Indiana Jones and The Great Circle leidt in de nominaties Develop:Star Awards 2025: avontuurspel voordraagt zich voor maar liefst zes prijzen
De genomineerden voor de prestigieuze Develop:Star Awards 2025 zijn bekendgemaakt, waarbij Indiana Jones and the Great Circle het grootste aantal nominaties heeft ontvangen. Dit actie-avontuur ding voor de titel van beste game van het jaar tussen andere sterke kanshebbers.
Wat is er bekend
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle heeft zes nominaties ontvangen, waaronder de hoofdcategorie Beste Game. Daarachter volgt Thank Goodness You're Here van Coal Supper met vijf nominaties, terwijl Paper Trail van Newfangled Games er vier heeft gekregen. Interessant is dat Thank Goodness You're Here ook strijdt om de titel van beste game samen met Still Wakes The Deep en Astro Bot.
Onder andere opmerkelijke kanshebbers zijn - Split Fiction en Atomfall, terwijl de studio's Hazelight Studios en Rebellion zijn genomineerd in de categorie Beste Studio. Kleine studio's Coal Supper en Shared Memory (de makers van Animal Well) strijden in de categorie Beste Kleine Studio, waarbij Animal Well ook genomineerd is voor Beste Marketingcampagne.
Dit jaar zijn er twee nieuwe categories in de Develop:Star Awards - Beste EDI-initiatief, dat initiatieven voor gelijkheid, diversiteit en inclusie benadrukt, en Beste In-Game Toegankelijkheid, die de toegankelijkheid van games voor spelers met speciale behoeften beoordeelt.
Een bijzonder kenmerk van de huidige ceremonie zal de The Develop Star Award zijn, die zal worden toegekend aan Sam Lake - een sleutelfiguur van Remedy Entertainment, bekend om zijn bijdrage aan de creatie van Max Payne, Alan Wake, Quantum Break en Control.
Winnaars zullen worden gekozen door stemmers uit de game-industrie, wat zal doorgaan tot 30 mei. De prijsuitreiking zal plaatsvinden op 9 juli tijdens de Develop:Brighton-conferentie in het Brighton Dome.
